Description:-  This activity is for the NORTH EAST CORRIDOR V4.0 (NEC4) & continues on from Part 2. This section involves taking the string of empty Oil cars that were waiting in Burnie MLT Yard to Dow Chemicals at Curtis Bay Yard. Whilst there, you will pick up a helper (if it arrives on time) then pick up 5 strings of cars (these need to be picked up in a set order). Oh, you will do all your own switching.

Once assembled, you need to be ready to join the Mainline at 13:00hrs, any later & you could get jammed up in other freight traffic.

There shouldn't be any Temporary Speed Restriction during this activity.

You will be required to wait in certain locations for MainLine & Yard clearances before you can continue.

NOTES:-

Winter is almost over, it's stopped snowing & you have a lovely clear day. The orders you were waiting for have come through & you're ready to pick up the empty Oil Cars & head on out to the Yard at Curtis Bay where your 'real' work of the afternoon will begin.

Speed limit within BURNIE, CURTIS BAY & WINSMERE YARDS is 15 mph.

Speed limit for freight on the Mainline along this route is 50 mph

 

*** BE AWARE ***.... icy conditions still prevail so any infringement of this speed limit could result in the termination of this Work Order.
