----------------------------------------

Work Order: NEOW-026-23B

Time: 12:15 PM

Season: Summer

Weather: Clear

MSTS Difficulty: Medium

Duration:  3 hours 45 minutes (or more -- depends on how you drive)

Train: NERR SD40-2 & SD40-2b

Activity Difficulty Level:  3

----------------------------------------

2d activity of the -23 series heading from N&JC to Seattle.

This activity builds the outbound car cuts for pickup by the road freight operated under activity NENJ-088-23A.  Following this activity, the next in series will be NEOW-088-23C.

You've just finished performing setouts at the Ironworks down the hill and enjoyed a quick lunch with the station master here.  You need to pick up coal and general merchandise cars and take them to Marietta yard, placing them in the correct sequence for pickup by the through freight.  Easy ahead as you start, you're in a 15 MPH zone.

Speed limits:

yards:   15

sidings: 20 or posted speed, whichever is lower

Main:   40 MPH or posted speed., whichever is lower

Drive Safely!

Operational Notes:

This activity is 98% fully pathed so that the engineer uses reverse points to make almost all movements.  On occasion the engineer will need to set switches manually prior to reaching a reversing point to complete required actions.

I tested this activity extensively on two different systems.  I use DirectX 9a.

All hills are possible working within the established work order speed limits.

Switching in Marietta yard -- when breaking up the train prior to putting the car cuts on the Interchange tracks, use the stub tracks from the leftmost to the rightmost.
