NEOW-048-015 work order

North Eastern Railroad 2003

---------------------------

Route: Ohio Build 10 with updates

Work Order:NEOW-048-015

Time:10:30

Season: Autumn

Weather: Clear

Duration:1 hour

Train:SD40-2

Class:1

---------------------------

Just a straight run from McConnelsville to the edge of OW Rout.

The track repair crew at McConnelsville has headed out to work

on the tracks at about MM124. They are aware that you will be going by.

Just need to let the Dispatch know so they will have some warning of

you coming.  You will be in the red on the load meter for a short

time on the grades.. Your assistant will be watching the gauges closely

to monitor heat build up to notify of any danger.

Its been an interesting trip of getting the empty cars on the WC Rout,

Going around the OW rout, and getting to this point of completing your

task. Be warned, this wont be easy. You will be already moving about

20MPH when the activity starts. I would suggest you build up as much

speed as possible. Unlike other routs, with steep grades but are short

in length. This section doesn't have steep grades, but are long. You

will be getting the full 100 car ...LOADED... either dragging or pushing

on you. ALL switches, you will be able to crossover at Max. rout MPH..

At MM 25 1/2 will start a downgrade. BUT keep your speed up.

At MM 28 1/2 You better be back in notch 8 and maybe sanders on.

AT MM 32 will be going downgrade again.

There are other grades, but the above mentioned will be the toughest.

I had this section of a 100 car train run in mind when I did the first NEWC-048-001. Unlike other routs with steep grades that half your train is still on the opposite grade... You will get to have the whole train on the same grade...You will defiantly know it...and using just 4 SD40s..

Also there are some very interesting views of the train.

Here is a list of a few of my favorite areas.

MM30 to MM30 1/2 From front of train looking back

MM38 to 39 again. From the front looking back

MM40 to 41...back of train looking forward....

These MM are approximate....you will have some excellent views of just about

the entire trains..

There will not be any AIs that will interfere. (which will allow you to look around)

FPS hog at the beginning.

Pop ups to help guide you

Pop Ups to help end activity.
