This completes the Burkes to Bailey delivery of some badly needed cars and supplies. There are empty stock cars for both Midland and Bailey, feed/supplies for both and supplies for Bailey Feed and Seed Warehouse.

 

The yard-jockeys have already re-ordered your cars for easier setout in tight conditions  so you can stay within the signal boundaries of Midland Siding. Any switching in the yard is to be done by you.

 

Move to yard lead and you are cleared to enter the main at 1:09pm and then dispatcher has control of all switches..

 

You are responsible for your own switches in the Saratoga yard, at Midland, and partially at Bailey, although one reverse point is offered.

 

Following is a suggested order of setout.

 

#2-7, to Midland Grain2

#0, 1 to Midland Grain 1

#8, 9 to Midland Stock

#10, 11 to Bailey Industrial under canopy

Setout the Caboose #25 at Bailey Runaround track going through to be picked up later.

Hoppers #12-19 go to Bailey Stock 1

Stock #20-24 to Bailey Stock 2

 

Use the yardview (7 key) to find the cars or sidings as needed.

 

Warnings: Speeding is not tolerated on the ADF or M&RM, so beware!

Main: As posted (suggest 5mph under max)

Sidings: 30mph

Yards: 15mph

 

All crossovers, diverging switches (points) tighter than 5 degrees have a 30mph speed limit until your train is clear of the switch. You will not be warned ahead.

 

30mph crossover limit at MP 91.98 and 56.90

Also 30mph from Midland to Bailey

 

Note: You will receive a comment upon completion of each setout (instructions), but the WO's will not show completed until the evaluation

 

Also, in front of Perkins, if you don't see a 45 & 30mph speed limit in the Track Monitor, press G to take the right switch and you will be back on path.

 

If you get any unsuccessful end of activity seemingly out of nowhere, look at the detailed evaluation and it will tell you why. Usually, but not always, Overspeed!

 

Following is a tentative time schedule if you are running at 67-70mph .. btw over 70 and you get a penalty incurred :-( so be careful.
