Part 1 of what will be a complete series. This is a regular weekly summer tour run from North Fork to Nuggett. Much of it is single track mainline, so the traffic will be a factor. Try to keep the passengers as comfortable as possible. This was designed to run approximately 3-5mph below the posted speed. The timing is critical, but speed is not. The M&RM is primarily a short freight line which explains the lack of stations. The towns are few and far between.

 

Speed limits are: yards-15mph, sidings 30, Main 45 or posted.

 

Do not leave the stations early.

 

If you get an AI stalemate, often times you can back up a bit to prompt the AI to go ahead.

Use F10 as needed for station information.

 

This is a passenger run, but if you are ever required to do any switching, keep the tail or head of the train between switch and signal. If you trip the signal, you will/may end up with a permanent red.

Schloggerville-Same - AI up track. May have to wait a minute or so.

 

Winterland-One standard horn coming into town (Long, short, short, Long) then use bell rather than horn at crossings next to station by agreement with town Counsel. It is a resort town: they ski all day, party all night, sleep all morning and we don't want to wake them up un-necessarily.

 

AI at Baers - if you're late you may have to wait until the train has moved into Stockton Culvert

 

Maryville-Whistle Stop

 

Alpine Station-See Winterland above. AI here also. If you leave early you will be locked, or worse!

 

Nuggett - End of section. Your handing it over to the Nuggett gang to regroup (can't give away any secrets here) while you go get an early lunch. You're going to need it.
