It's a warm summer evening and the freight train from Whitefish has just dropped off its load of cars at Yard siding 4. Your task is to deliver the  empty i-beams from Yard siding 4 to Kalispell plywood siding 1 and deliver the eight full loggers sitting at Yard Siding 9 to Kalispell Lumber siding 1 & 2.

First you must move the boxcars from Yard siding 4 to Yard siding 3 to get to the i-beams. When you have picked up the i-beams head down the track and turn left into the wye to pick up the full loggers. Get your train turned around by reversing  into the  other leg of the wye.

 

Bring back the full i-beams from Kalispell plywood siding 1 to the pocket track and the empty loggers from Kalispell Lumber siding 1 & 2 to Yard Siding 9. Finish the activity at the bottom of Yard siding 6. (Check your work order for closer information).

 

When returning from Kalispell plywood & Lumber to Kalispell Yard area take the reverse route thru the wye. Drop off the empty loggers first and the full i-beams last, pushing the i-beams to the very end of the pocket track.

 

Most of the switching for this activity must be done manually.

There are other trains operating in this area so the dispatcher will let you know when the different track sections are clear to enter.
