NEER-110-01, 02, 03 by Antonio Miranda
Austin Yoder
has produced a absolutely beautiful layout in his East
River District, aka Bluefield East route, and NERR’s Tony
Miranda has come-out with a trio of sweet little
activities that do a good job of showing you around the
tracks in this truly lovely environment! The first two,
110-01 and -02, involve running SD70Ms and a string of
cans from Princeton to the Refinery and return. The third
one, -03, has you hauling some USAF boxes from West
Bluefield down to Radford Army. They’re basically fairly
straightforward run-throughs.
But they’re
not quite a walk in the park, though. There’s a good deal
of grade work here, and you’ll get lots and lots of
practice with dynamic braking – especially in -03! So
you’ll find that your primary problem in this series is
keeping a sharp-enough eye on your speed control, while
you’re so busy rubber-necking around at all the marvelous
scenery!
For a nice,
refreshing change of scene to a beautiful location, give
Tony Miranda’s runs a try. You’ll be glad you did!
